Hey blogosphere, it's been a while! But what better way to come back other than with a second installment of coffee shops in NYC? ;) So, without further ado, here it goes! disclaimer: I am NOT a coffee connoisseur, I just enjoy visiting cool places.
First up is Ground Central Coffee Company. It has 3 different locations in Manhattan, but the one I usually go to is the one in Midtown East. It has a super cozy seating area on the back, with comfy chairs and shelves full of books, but it also has a nice long table by the window, right next to a big collection of LP records that you can listen to. Staff is always super nice, but it can be packed (really really really packed, with lines out the door) at the most random times of the day.
Next up, is ever so famous Stumptown Coffee Roasters. Stumptown has 2 location in NY, I've only been to the one at the Ace Hotel. Lines can be pretty long too, but it's just so nice to grab a coffee and a pastry and sit at the lobby of the hotel with all the cool kids! I've been several times, and it's always great.
Lastly, is Bluestone Lane. Bluestone Lane is an Australian-style coffee shop and café. They have several locations in NY. I've been to one coffee shop (Midtown East) and one café (Upper East Side). Unless you're living under a rock, you've probably heard that Australian coffee shops is the "new thing". And for a good reason. Staff is SUPER friendly and coffee is so good! But there's a plus if you visit their UES location, just look at the pictures below! The café is located in what I believe was once part of the adjacent to church. It's just too beautiful and really worth a visit.
