Recipe: Super easy condensed milk cake

For someone that had to Google how to boil an egg a little while ago, I think I've been doing great progress in the kitchen. This past week, we had some really cold days thanks to the polar vortex and I tried to stay in as much as I could. That meant no chocolate croissant or macaron runs - I had to take care of my sweet tooth at home.

So, when I came across this recipe on Pinterest and noticed I had all the ingredients at home, I thought I had to try it. I am not good with cakes [really, I tried so many times a few years ago and I failed every single one], but since this day, I've been feeling more confident.

I have to say, this cake is so easy I thought it wasn't going to work. Just mix all the ingredients? It can't work. But it did and I had to share here one more victory in the kitchen! ;)

Condensed milk cake (Technicolor Kitchen via Dr. Ola's Kitchen)
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
4 eggs
1 cup of all purpose flour
½ teaspoon of baking powder
50g melted unsalted butter
icing sugar, for dusting
Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Prepare a cake pan by brushing it with butter and spreading flour. Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix till smooth. Pour the batter into cake pan and bake in preheated oven for about 40 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool before you unmold it. Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve with fruit sauce or fresh fruits.

  1. looks delish!

herein lies my problem with baking at home - I eat ALL THE CAKE. I take the first slice like a normal person and then clean the edges as I walk by over the course of the week until I can't tell you how much cake I've eaten.

  2. this looks amazing. and if it's really that easy, then i'll just have to give it a shot.
