I said on this post that I was not ready for Fall. Well, I take it back. After a gray and rainy Labor Day weekend that made us stay mostly inside, I am ready for cooler temperatures and heavier clothes.
And to make things more autumnal around here, I baked my first cobbler ever and added some animal print to my closet!

We had a lot of apples from our weekly produce box and thought this would be a good way to use them. I searched online for a recipe with ingredients I had at home, and this one from Land O'Lakes seemed easy enough for my first try.
It was a good choice - easy to make and so tasty. I forgot to add the salt, but it didn't make any difference. It smelled delicious and we ate it all anyway. ;)
As for the leopard print, I have to be honest: it's not the first one to be added to my closet.
I already have a few leopard print items, but really needed flats. The ones that I loved, ripped apart a few days ago and getting these ones from Madewell made me happy again. :)
yum! i have never made an apple cobbler- i will have to remember to use this recipe when i go apple picking some time this fall!!!!
