This post will be a little different from the others in the "Right at home" series. I don't have a picture of the item in its new home, but the story of this purchase is so amazing and I thought I fitted so well under the title "Right at home", that I had to share it here.
Back in December I sold an old cookbook, the only book I ever put up for sale on my shop. I usually keep the old books I buy, if not for its content, just because I think they are beautiful things and deserve to be somewhere special. So when I got a message saying it sold, as it often happens, I was a bit sad I would have to say good bye.
Fast forward to the end of March and I received the most touching feedback ever, and it made me really happy I had put the book for sale! The book was written by the buyer's great great grandmother and she had been looking for a copy to give her daughter as a Christmas gift! Could the book be anymore "at home" than that?

I love seeing the new homes of the items I sell! This is the fifth post on the series "Right at home". To see the other posts of this series, click here.

What a wonderful story! I also love when customers take time to tell me how they are using their purchase - or maybe even show me a photo.

Isn't it nice? I think that's the best part of selling on Esty!
DeleteThat's so sweet. Seems you made this lady's day, she made yours, her daughter got a great gift... Wins, all the way around. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteReally awesome! I was so happy when I read her message!
DeleteOh my goodness! That is so cool. You never know who's looking for your treasure.
ReplyDeleteThat is cool, isn't it? I could never imagine that one day I would have a sale so meaningful as this one! I think it will be my best sale story for ever! :)
