How to clean brass with natural products

With the entire world getting more and more concerned about “being green” to help keep our planet safe, it is a good idea to make your own cleaning products with natural ingredients. I tried some recipes for a brass cleaning product and the one that worked the best for me was a combination of two parts of lemon juice with one part of cream of tartar. You have to mix the two ingredients and rub it on the brass piece. Leave it for half an hour and then clean it with a damp cloth. In the picture above, the goblet on the left was cleaned with this mixture of cream of tartar and lemon. It took me more than just one “rub and wait half an hour” for it to start sparkling, but the positive side is that I was able to do it without harming the environment with heavy chemicals and bad fumes.
